Aston Martin's ambitions for his return to Formula 1 were impressive, but sadly they didn't materialize as his executives hoped. Despite a second place obtained in the daring Azerbaijan Grand Prix with Sebastian Vettel, the British company finished in seventh place in the constructors' classification due to the limited performance of the AMR1.

For next season it will be essential to develop the new AMR2 in depth and for this reason the English team is conducting additional analyzes on the new 18" Pirelli tires. The tires that are being tested these days on the Yas Marina circuit were then equipped by the technicians to understand how the wheels react to the change in the car's height from the ground.

The data collected on Sebastian Vettel's racecar will probably be used to develop the suspension of the new AMR2, adapting them to make the most of the ground effect generated by the two Venturi tunnels on the sides of the body. No information regarding the progress of British car design has yet been leaked, but there will certainly be in the coming weeks.

Thanks to Valentina Zanola for the cooperation
