Aston Martin? Nah, there's a Maserati stealing the show in the next Bond movie
The latest James Bond film, No Time to Die, was originally scheduled for theatrical release in April 2020 but it was postponed to November because of Covid and now, with two months to go before it finally hits the big screen, MGM uploaded a new trailer on YouTube and hold on a second, is that a Maserati Quattroporte?
Yes it is. The new trailer was uploaded on James Bond 007 YouTube channel (run and trademarked by Danjaq and MGM) and while the rest of the world praised photography and acting, car people couldn't help but notice a gorgeous black Maserati Quattroporte IV in the first scene of the trailer.
The bad news is, this being one of the baddies' cars, the Quattroporte is almost certainly destined to explode at some point but the good news is this is a proper, bona fide baddy's car. I mean, what else would one of the supervillain's minions trying to kill the world's most efficient spy drive?
Apart from Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas and Léa Seydoux and Academy Award winner Rami Malek impersonating Safin, the movie villain and Bond's antagonist, we've got a long list of automotive reasons to watch the film. There's the new Defender, four Astons including the DB5 and the Valhalla hypercar. And now there's the most compelling reason of them all, a good ol' Maserati.
