Aston Martin reveal the debut date for DBX along with interior and Pricing

The Aston Martin DBX is set to make its debut this month on Wednesday the 20th but, this one is in Beijing China. To tease us a bit before the reveal they have revealed the interior and pricing for the SUV.

According to Aston Martin they have carefully considered ergonomics for the interior. It is said to meet the needs of 99th percentile male and 5th percentile female. What has gender got to do with a car's interior I have no clue. But, Aston Martin claim the car is designed inside out "to ensure owners feel instantly at home from the moment they enter the spacious cabin.". All I can see is space space and very good upholstery. From what I can see you get all the gadgets and gizmos you can think of, including a unique infotainment screen which I reckon will be touchscreen. You even get reading lights for the rear seats. The seats are fully upholstered in leather. All the passengers and driver have "hold on" handles right above their seats.

There are 5 dials above the touchscreen. Actually, they are buttons that have functions. The centre one is start stop, the rest are drive modes - Park, Reverse, Neutral and Drive. Which is a weird place to keep it, the other models keep it next to the driver, not what seems out of reach.

What I like is how airy they make the interior feel. The trick is a giant panoramic roof that makes it feel very spacious.

Now to the next most important piece of information - the price. In the UK it will start at £158,000, €193,500 in Germany and in the USA $189,900. In the UK you also get 3 years servicing included.

It seems a fair price, considering the fact that the DBS Superleggera is almost £75,000 pounds more than the base DBX. The DBX has one benefit - it is cheaper than the Lamborghini Urus. And that is strategic pricing - being cheaper than your very successful competition.
