Aston Martin Valhalla
Aston Martin takes inspiration from Norse mythology for the name of the upcoming Valkyrie hypercar, and the British brand might stick with mid-engined supercar called Valhalla.
Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said in a recent interview. “When you see the design language for 003, it’s really interesting. We’re designing 003 and what we call AM9 side by side, so you see that bloodline."
The Project 003 will pack a turbocharged V6 with performance-tuned hybrid assistance produces over 1000hp, and Red Bull Racing will have input in the powerplant's design. Andy Palmer claimed the vehicle will have the performance to compete with the likes of old supercars like the Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder. So it wouldn't be a low price.
In Norse mythology, Valhalla (/vælˈhælə, vɑːlˈhɑːlə/; from Old Norse Valhöll "hall of the slain")is a majestic, enormous hall located in Asgard, ruled over by the god Odin.Valkyrie host of female figures who choose those bravery who may die in battle and those who may live. These names may create a direct connection between Aston Martin's two cars(Valkyrie and Valhalla).
In addition to the Valkyrie and possible Valhalla, Sweden's Koenigsegg had a Thor and allegedly intends to call its next hypercar the Ragnarok this name refers to the prophesied end of the gods and world.
The Aston Martin Valhalla, which is allegedly referred to internally as the ‘Son of Valkyrie’, is expected to arrive in 2021. It will be limited to just 500 units and will be built in both left- and right-hand drive configurations.
The firstly, the manufacturers are running out words to name their new car, just said like upper the koenigsegg new successor named Ragnarok(i don't need to mention Thor cause that was personal edition). They could take name from the myth If the have no words to name the new car.Not only they could solve the name problem but also it has unlimited meaning. And let us take a look with Mclaren that form the Senna and coming up speedtail.Senna could be a highly racked name and speedtail you could tell that heritaged longtail.Besides personally the speedtail was a stupid name.
Secondly, according to the north history and British history,Norse viking raiders sacked a series of Christian monasteries located in what is now the United Kingdom, beginning in 793, with a raid on the coastal monastery of Lindisfarne on the east coast of England. The following year they sacked the nearby Monkwearmouth-Jarrow Abbey, and in 795 they attacked again, raiding Iona Abbey on Scotland's west coast. It has a long and tremendous influence to British since then. Thus Aston will be so loving and obsessed with Norse name.
