Aston Martin ValkyrieMarcus Milligan posted in Supercar Community4y ago2.1K Award- Aston’s Director of Exterior Design, Miles Nurnberger, said that the Valkyrie’s exterior is now “95 per cent of the way there” as Red Bull’s Adrian Newey continues to find ways to improve downforce and aero even further. - The 6.5-litre V12 is designed by Cosworth and, combined with the electric motor, will produce about 1000bhp.- Aston is targeting a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio.- Aston Martin confirmed that this car makes 4000-lbs of downforce.- “This is a no-excuses halo car, the most luxurious car in its class, but also the quickest and the fastest. This car will be able to lap the Silverstone circuit as quick as or quicker than an F1 or LMP1 car.” -Andy Palmer- The Valkyrie will replace traditional mirrors in favor of two rear-facing cameras connected to a display at the base of each A-Pillar.- Aston Martin has confirmed that Michelin will be the tyre partner for the Valkyrie.- The Aston badge is now laser-cut and just 0.07mm thick, so it weighs 99.4 per cent less than Aston’s normal badge.- There is no running prototype, that will be built early next year, with first customers taking delivery in early 2019.#AstonMartin #Valkyrie #V12 #Cosworth #Hypercar Award Marcus
