This is the "DBX", Aston hasn't confirmed it's official production name but the prototype is called the DBX. It's being tested in Wales and will be built in Aston's new factory there. From the first pictures it appears to be nothing but a Vantage on stilts (until you get to the back). It even has a lip spoiler like the vantage but on an SUV it really doesn't work!
The good thing is it'll be able to off-road because it is being tested on a Welsh rally stage. Aston say they will test it in the Arctic, the Middle East, alpine passes, German autobahns and of course the Nurburgring.
The only real problem I see is that they've tried to incorporate too much of the Vantage and DB11 into it. It has mirrors and front lights from a Vantage. Weirdly the front grill doesn't look to oversized which is good but the vents in the bonnet, boot lid and lower front bumper look very obnoxious. From the side it appears that the car has run into a wall because the front end is completely flat. The rear lip spoiler also looks way to big and out of place but the worst thing about this car is the rear lights. The two circle lights I think are suppose to look a bit Zagato but on an Aston SUV they look hideous.
No figures have been released but their going to have to be good to make up for the exterior.
