With the 2017 ADAC Formula 4 season reaching its end with the final event in Hockenheim, the preparations for 2018 are into full swing. On Thursday, the German series announced ATS as their new partner to supply rims in the 2018 season.
The established German company ATS will equip #ADACF4 with the "Made in high-tech alloy wheels "Made in Germany" over the next three years. The German junior category uses matching, 13-inch aluminum rims, according to FIA Formula 4 specification, which are produced at the ATS Motorsport factory in Fussgonheim, located near the Hockenheimring race track.
"We welcome ATS as new partners to the ADAC Formula 4 and look forward to working with such a famous engineering company. ATS have gained a great deal of expertise over many years in motorsport and have plenty of experience, especially when it comes to the supply of junior formula sport", said ADAC Head of Motorsport Thomas Voss.
"For many years, the ATS brand has been successfully represented in many racing series. We are very proud of the fact that we supply rims to DTM and Formula 3 and will now equip Formula 4 exclusively as well, starting in 2018. Through our involvement in motorsport, we can demonstrate ATS's technical know-how and that of the entire UNIWHEELS Group", added Dr Wolfgang Hiller, CEO at UNIWHEELS AG.
ATS has been closely associated with motorsport for many years, having already had its own team in Formula 1, next to currently supplying DTM and Formula 3. ATS will be replacing Motec as exclusive provider.
