Audi Group B Quattro, Koenigsegg Jesko Show Up In Hot Wheels Unleashed
15 real-life cars join five movie cars in the official roster
You've probably seen and heard of bits and bobs of Milestone's Hot Wheels Unleashed on this site for a few months now. And why not? It seems like a pretty cool game that has a track editor and car assets that are pulled right out of your toybox.
Coming soon to a console or PC near you
Well, if your toy box also has a Group B Audi Sport Quattro and Koenigsegg Jesko, you'll want to see this.
The game has got a new trailer, showing off the sixty (60) cars that will form the initial roster that you can drive in-game. Besides the HW Original designs like the Rodger Dodger, Bone Shaker and Time Attaxi, we're also confirmed to be getting two Audis (the R8 Spyder and the aforementioned Quattro), the Jesko, and even the Honda S2000. All these cars, alongside trucks and pickups from Ford, Dodge and Chevrolet, make for a healthy set of picks.
This took a surprisingly short amount of time to render.
Also coming to the game: the DeLorean Time Machine, KITT from Knight Rider, a Batmobile, Snoopy's hot rod house and the Party Wagon of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It's easy to see where the connective tissue lies, so here's hoping for more character cars as DLC.
In fact, the mere existence of licensed cars bodes well to the choices this game will get, I reckon, as it can open up the likes of Porsche and McLaren to make an appearance as drivable cars. And given the promised features, which includes a track builder and, as confirmed by GTPlanet, an upgrades/modding system, the limit really is only your imagination.
Hot Wheels Unleashed drops 30 September for the current generation of consoles as well as Steam and Epic Store.
