Back in time on this former glory • The great Birel T12

My dear friend Antonello has given me the privilege of driving this gem and besides having a lot of fun, I've been impressed a lot both by the huge difference compared to modern karts in terms of sensations, lightness, drivability and by how much you're totally exposed.

No matter what, it's a damn good chassis!

Unfortunately Antonello managed to restore just the chassis and meanwhile he's restoring its original steering wheel and engine, he has mounted an other engine on it, also vintage : Maxter "Testanera" which means "black head" ; a new Sparco steering wheel, water cooling, and of course nowadays tyres.

In this configuration, this kart is pretty quick thanks to an 88 dents rear sprocket with a 9 dents pinion.

Heroes still exist but the champions who raced with these ones were simply superheroes.
