'Bad news is good news' as they say.

'Imagine' that.....

Recent surveys suggest that 100% of car enthusiasts hate coupé-SUVs, and therefore you'd think manufacturers would probably wanna stear clear of them due to such low demand. But think, for a second, that not everyone is a car enthusiast. And then it all makes sense. It's the people who don't show an interest in cars that demand all the terrible ones. Then there's me who does like cars but kind of secretly likes them anyway🤭.

Anyway in this line of production we have seen MANY.......em, interesting??? cars emerge over the years. Across the world, Germans, and yeah pretty much just the germans had a few goes at making said Coupé-SUV. Then Lamborghini did it and it was actually cool.

But now, the industrius little Koreans have decided they want in on the love/hate (or love to hate) action. The Hyundai Motor Group have politely scarificed their plucky KIA counterparts to take the hit for them, kind of like sending them in ahead to take the hits of anger and resentment.

And well, it seems the KIA-ens, or KIAns I suppose, have kind of got on with it. In fact it seems they've really taken the challenge in their stride (although I would say that wouldn't I really). KIA decided not only would they produce South Korea's first coupé-SUV (well in the 2000s at least).

Why have I been saying 'first coupé SUV' this whole time like the XCEED doesn't exist. OH my gooooood I'm such an i d i o t . Oh well I'm not changing it so ignore that, I don't wanna hear about it. Anyway with the weight already on their shoulders to design and produce South Korea's SECOND coupé-SUV (don't quote me on that either), KIA have also decided to make this car, well, an EV.

An electric egg-car, you guys must....really like them....now, huh........

Now as things stand I can't really tell you too much about it. I can only read some headlines about the car from what the french call 'l'internet'. I think. So please enjoy this week's issue of:

KIA CV (that's what it's called apparently, I've lost all hope) "looks like a beauty".

AND THAT'S ALLLLLL (cuz things just got worse from there). HOPE YOU ENJOYED!

Now we did also here of 'fastest KIA rumours' and 'Tesla beating range' but time will decide the credentials of claims such as those.

I actually began writing this article to show these:

And then talk about the concepts and renders OF WHICH this very car is based quite heavily on. But the minute I show a single render you all lose your conkers and start shouting about how ugly having come to the conclusion that it's the exact car being made right now. So we aren't going to go there today.

Anyway yes, so the latest news from KIA will be an electric Coupé-SUV! Are you nervous or do they spyshots have you interested?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Ok too much sorry I'm gonna stop now. Thank you for reading!!

  • The Koreans were always in the coupe SUV game.

Remember Ssangyong and their atrocious designs?

  • It makes sense from a scientific standpoint. To maximize range, the Coefficient of drag (Cd) has to be low. This requires giving the car a more streamlined tear-drop shape. Look at Tesla vehicles. Both SUVs have a coupey shape. So do the Model 3 and Model S. I'm pretty sure all 4 of them have Cd lower than 0.3, which is very impressive. Teslas also boast a higher range than most, if not all, of their competitors, which partly comes down to Tesla's better battery design, and other factors, but Cd still makes a difference.

    • Yeah definetely, I just hope they will moderate the Cd so to the point where it doesnt damage the overall looks of the car, personally.

  • It will another one of those cars that I would never buy and the only interesting thing about it is that it is an EV but I doubt it will bring anything new to the market.

    • Not the most innovative creation now, but who knows if it can manage to turn a bit of the anti-coupé suv to dust if they manage to pull off a sweet design.

    • Maybe, I still don't understand them but I guess some people like them.

  • For what it is it isn’t horrendous, but I have no interest in it whatsoever

    • I mean we don't know what it'll be yet!

But yes you can imagine it's not gonna be overly nippy or exciting.....😂

    • You can see it’s not fallen into the trap of the BMW X6 (trying to look sleek but ending up looking bulbous), which every other coupé SUV has ended up doing
