BBi Autosport’s heartbreaking Pikes Peak run
BBi attempted to take their Porsche 911 GT2 RS race car up the mountain to follow up their record breaking 2019.
In 2019, with driver Raphael Astier behind the wheel, BBi Autosport sent a 991 GT3 Cup Car with a 3.8 liter turbocharged 911 Turbo engine up the 2019 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb nicknamed "Lucy". Lucy came second overall and set a new Time Attack 1 class record.
In 2020, BBi was coming back with something different this time a Porsche 911 GT2 RS. With David Donohue behind the wheel of the Porsche, BBi had its sights to set some new records. Sadly, the record breaking runs were ended due to a small heartbreaking issue with the Porsche.
