Because I Said So.

A Bossy Lady Tells You What To Do....

Well, not really

You see, I came up with the tribe name, because I said so, after thinking back to a time (very long ago) when I would ask my children to do something. As usual, children are propelled by human nature to challenge any authoritarian request, even the most simplest of pleas. I would try to explain why I wanted them to do, whatever it was I had asked them to do, logically and practically. When that was to no avail, I would throw up my hands and exclaim, “Because I said so!!” I have run out of explanations. Just do it.

Because I said so is kind of like a finality in this tribe. I have presented all the information I have come up with on a particular topic, exhausted my options, come to my conclusions and now I am finished….because I said so. No dictatorial vibes here. It’s too exhausting to be a dictator. Really, take my word for it…

Motor-Head University 101

Let me start with a disclaimer here. I am not a motor-head. I want to be one but for now I am still a student reading, studying, and listening to those of you far more qualified than I on all things car related. Drive-tribe is part of my daily tutorial. So before you shut this article off, what am I going to talk about?

It’s Not All About Me..

I need you. I need your knowledge, expertise and input. I’m hoping for a substantive discourse on car related themes. Yes, I have some ideas to present. Things I’ve wondered about, seen or would like to research. I always approach things with a sense of humility and a spirit of inquiry. A wise man once said, when one ceases to learn, one ceases to exist. I truly believe that, but don’t ask me who the person is that said it. I’m not sure. All a part of my memory retention issues I have.

Do I Have To?

No, I obviously can’t make you participate. Remember, this is not a dictatorship. But truly, I would like to hear your “because I said so” after you share your ideas. It’ll be good. I promise I’ll do my part.

Because I said so….Thanks, Karen 

  • Karen, I love your article, your tribe title, the photos! May I repost it to #girlpower? This article reminds me of Chloe Thiesen’s (spelling is probably wrong) tribe “The Newbie.” I’m wishing you success on this learning road trip through DriveTribe. I’m here for you whenever you need me. ❤️
