Porsche says that the Taycan GTS is the "sweet spot" between 4S and Turbo

Porsche has stolen the show at the LA Auto Show with a pair of hardcore Taycans. Meet the all-new Porsche Taycan GTS and Sport Turismo. Let's talk about the meatier Taycan GTS first, which is said to be the "sweet spot" between 4S and Turbo in the Taycan lineup.

The Taycan GTS has a 93.4 kWh battery as standard and packs 590 horsepower. As a result, the GTS can sprint to 62mph in just 3.7 seconds.

With all that blistering performance, one will think that the GTS will drain out its battery quickly. Well, you're wrong, because the Taycan GTS offers a very impressive 312-mile range courtesy of “the particularly efficient drivetrain control strategy improvements."

The Taycan GTS also has other performance goodies like rear-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, six-piston front red brake calipers and a fake exhaust sound software. The option of a carbon ceramic brakes and a panoramic sunroof with ‘Variable Light Control’ is also available.

Porsche has also blessed us with a more beefed up version of the Taycan estate in the shape of the Sport Turismo. It has a lower ride height and no gravel mode to make things more focused for on-road performance.

Both Taycans get the GTS treatment with loads of black detailing on the outside and Race-Tex upholstery on the inside. The Estate is £800 costlier than the GTS, so there's not much different between the two in terms of price.
