Bentley is returning to Pikes Peak to chase one final record
They say it's for the "third and final time"
Bentley has announced it will come back to race at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on the 27th of June for the ‘third and final time’ in order to chase one final record.
The plan is to enter a GT3 version of its Continental GT to race up the 1,440 metre ascent as Bentley aims for a third record on the 12.42-mile course.
Previous records held by Bentley include the one in 2018 when a Bentley Bentayga set the record for the fastest ascent by an SUV with a time of 10min 49.902sec. Then in 2019, the Continental GT set the record for a production car with a time of 10min 18.488sec.
The man behind these records was New Zealander, Rhys Millen, best known for being a Formula D drifting champion and two-time race winner in the Global Rallycross Championship.
It is unknown who will be driving to attempt this record, but more information is to be revealed imminently.
