Berg-Cup Legend - Highly Modified 9.000RPM BMW E36 Touring Car
Canio Marchione´s car for the 2018 Season is a Legend on its own. This specially tuned BMW 320i STW capable of around 300Hp/9.000Rpm from its Naturally Aspirated Engine, was originally owned and driven by Dieter Rottenberger and Georg Weidinger (BMW Test Driver). After a very successful career on the hands of its original owners, it then was raced on Switzerland by Martin Burki until being bought by Mr. Marchioni this year.
Its Aerodynamics were improved thanks to wind tunnel testing on BMW Motorsport facilities, as well as seeing the engine being developed further from the original Touring Car, while weight is much lower thanks to the less restricting Rulebook of Hilllcimb Racing. At 810Kg is makes this RWD Monster quite the agile thing. And as we all know, evolution on the Hillclimb Racing World never stops, even for older machines...
