Best cars at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show
The LA Auto Show is happening right now. Here are the coolest cars being revealed to the public across the pond. - By Rory White
1. Hyundai Seven
The Hyundai Ioniq Seven is a concept car that gives a nod to the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 7. It's a large SUV that'll do battle with other SUVs such as the Volvo XC90 and will likely get the same EV as the current Ioniq 5. It'll likely have 800v charging capability and a 300+ mile range when it arrives in 2024.
2. Kia EV9
The Kia EV9 is also coming in 2024 when it'll top the Kia range as a large luxurious electric SUV. In fact, it's not much smaller than a Range Rover but will cost about half as much when it goes on sale. Expect the same EV tech as the current EV6, with super-fast charging and a 300-mile range.
3. Porsche Cayman GT4 RS
The Cayman GT4 RS is the ultimate version of the Porsche Cayman. It's lighter and more powerful than the standard GT4, borrowing the engine from Porsche's superb 911 GT3. Think 500hp, 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 196mph. It's on sale now for more the £100,000.
4. Range Rover
The Range Rover is Land Rover's most important model and this fifth generation is key to its financial stability. The fifth-generation model looks superb inside and out, comes packed with tech and there'll be a fully-electric version arriving in 2024.
5. Toyota bZ4X
The Toyota bZ4X is Toyota's first dedicated EV and will be a similar size to its RAV4 when it goes on sale next month. It has five seats, front or all-wheel drive and up to 280 miles of range.
