BMW is taking some very cool cars for ice dancing in Austria
Do you know about GP Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria? Most of you don't know about it, right? It's time to know about it now. GP Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria had all kinds of crazy things from pre-war racers to FE cars strapped skiers to their bumpers last year. This year it has been spruced up a bit more by the entry of BMW.
From a classic E30 M3 which twice won the European Touring Car Hillclimb Championship to the ginormous Mini which won the Dakar rally in 2012, BMW is bringing race cars of all shapes and sizes.
Wouldn't it be perfect to see these cars slithering their way through the Austrian ice and bringing wide smiles on your face (if you'll be there)?
But I want to talk about the classic E30 M3 simply because of *that* beautiful livery. Smooth blending of three colors coupled with white wheels (which will become invisible in all the Austrian ice) means that this is one hell of a BMW. Kidneys for sale here. Are you able to hear us BMW?
Other rally cars in BMW's lorry for the Austrian Ice GP includes a replica of the old Sixties Cooper S rally car which looks sweet as hell.
And there's more. BMW has not only loaded rally cars into its truck for Zell am See. The Bavarians have also included a classic BMW M1 Procar and the BMW V12 LMR. Both these cars have tried their hands at the Le Mans 24 Hours and now aim of adding another accolade, the GP Ice Race, to their glorious book of achievements.
Just how sweet would the V12 sound slithering through Ice. Austrians, I am *very* jealous.
So now its time to count the GP Ice Race in our calendars along with Indy 500, Le Mans 24 Hours and Goodwood Festival of Speed.
