Brabham BT52 powered by a 1,5l BMW M12 engine, this engine powered several cars in the Formula 1 turbo era which ended in 1988. Technical directors estimated that the turbocharged inline 4 cylinder was capable of producing up to 1400 hp with 4 bar boost pressure, apparently the dyno didn't go beyond 1280hp . The 540kg Brabham BT52 designed by Gordon Murray achieved speeds of up to 350kph. Cause ground effect underbodies were banned, it was all about reducing lift so the sidepots had to be small.
