Brabus did it again - This is the all-new 900 G V12
I write 25,000 words a week and because I cover car news a lot, I inevitably always end up talking about crossover SUVS or EVs. So please allow me to state, right from the outset, that I decided this is the best car in the world: it’s the Brabus Mercedes 900 G V12 'One of Ten'.
I’m kidding. It isn’t the best car in the world but it certainly is different, and different is good. Different ain’t boring. The previous Brabus G900 was introduced at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show and Brabus has decided to introduce an all-new version at this year's 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, which officially starts on September 12. This completely pointless and yet extremely amusing vehicle is refreshing. It is powered by an AMG 6.3 L biturbo V12 which now makes 900 bhp and 1,500 Nm of torque. Obviously Brabus knows that 1,500 is too much and so the torque is limited electronically... to 1,200 Nm.
The 900 G does 0-60 in 3.8 seconds, not bad for a car which weighs 2.5 tonnes, and has a top speed of 290 kph (180 mph), which is also limited electronically for safety reason. Of course.
This Brabus G-Wagen, commonly referred to as G Wagon, has been styled by Brabus which means it comes with standard black on black design, with carbon fibre wheels, while the interior comes with white leather with contrast walnut piping, and more walnut leather, and Alcantara. And carbon fibre. And satin aluminium.
Production is limited to 10 units only.
