B​reaking: Grosjean gives update on condition

T​oday, Romain Grosjean escaped what can only be described as one of the most severe racing incidents in recent F1 history.

T​oday, the Bahrain GP was red-flagged after Romain Grosjean had one of the most severe accidents in recent racing history. A few hours, G​rosjean updated his fans via social media saying that he is ok and that he was grateful to his fans and to everyone that helped him recover.

A​fter he clipped with Kvyat, Grosjean went straight off the track and ended up hitting a barrier. His car split in half and immediately burst into flames. Luckily, the Frenchman escaped the vehicle with minor injuries but nothing came from him until a few hours ago- if you wish to read more about the accident itself, click here.

L​ater on, after the accident, Grosjean was voted as the ‘Driver of The Day’.

  • Can’t tell you how relieved I was to see Romain climb out of his car, and well done to the marshalls and medical staff. According to the helicopter footage I make it 29.5 seconds that romain was engulfed in flames; that racing suit must be made of mithril or something. Anyway, glad to see him talking from his hospital bed. I can understand that they wrapped his hands up pretty quickly to give him the best chance of recovery. But if those burns are bad he won’t be back in the car next week.

  • I felt sick when I saw the accident. The marshals and medical staff are amazing.
