Breaking news: here is finally the all-new Volkswagen ID.4!

The German cousin of the Skoda Enyaq iV takes on the light of day

Although the ID.3 was unveiled almost a year ago, it will not be able to help Volkswagen alone to become one of the world leaders in electric cars. As a result, the compact car will receive the welcome support of an SUV, the ID.4. The vehicle leaked on the web a few hours before its official presentation.

If the style seems rather daring at the usually conservative German manufacturer, it is no surprise that it fully takes up the lines of the ID.3 in an SUV body. For example, the front end is equipped with similar interactive headlights incorporating Matrix LED technology. The lower part of the front grille is fitted with small holes as on the ID.3.

The profile is characterized by gentle curves combined with contours that give the ID.4 a rather Latin look. The wheels can be up to 21 inches in diameter to give the vehicle a sportier look. The rear section has lights connected by an LED strip with IQ.Light technology.

On board, the Volkswagen ID.4 offers a more flattering dashboard than on the ID.3. The materials used seem more opulent, as does the overall design of the dashboard, which appears more elegant. Based on the same platform as the Skoda Enyaq iV, the Volkswagen ID.4 should offer a range from 210 to 320 mi (340 to 510 km).

  • For a crossover it has some style. Nice roof, interior and a fairly aggressive stance and face. Wonderful

  • Interesting design. Will probably look better in person. But am interested to see where else VW’s electric car range goes...
