Breaking News: New Bond Film To Feature Jaguar Land Rover Vehicles

It wouldn't be a 007 film without the villainous Jaguar to counter Bond's new Aston Martin

With Daniel Craig set to star in Barbara Broccoli's 'Bond 25' in his last outing as the super-suave British spy, another familiar face is set to make a return to the big screen as part of the film.

Jaguar Land Rover have been a big part of the 007 franchise now for many years with the infamous CX-75 starring in the thrilling car chase in Sam Mendes' 2015 Bond outing, SPECTRE.

A JLR source has confirmed Jaguar Land Rover will be returning to feature for the 2020, yet to be named, 007 movie. JLR are hoping to reveal which vehicles exactly are to feature in Bond 25 later in 2019 and prior to its release in early 2020.

The movie is rumored to have the code name 'Eclipse' and will also feature the return of Ralph Fiennes as M, and familiar favourites Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw as Moneypenny and Q respectively. It's also been rumored that Barbara Broccoli who has been at the helm of the Bond franchise for decades has been in negotiations with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' actor Rami Malek to star opposite Daniel Craig.

Bond 25 though hasn't seen a smooth production so far. Originally the film was to be directed by Danny Boyle. Boyle is known for his work on 'The Beach', 'Slumdog Millionaire' and 'Steve Jobs'. However in August 2018 it was announced that Boyle had moved on from the project and soon after Cary Fukunaga was announced as Bond 25's new director.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm extremely excited to be seeing the big cat back on the big screen alongside Craig and his Aston Martin. Let me know what you think in the comments.

      • An educated guess? I don’t think so. The release schedules don’t match up unfortunately and Bond is known for using cars already in production with the exception of the DB10.

      • Why not? Remember ford mondeo & ka? They was seen in the movies before than in dealers!!

    • No. No more DB5. It's become an awful joke now. And as for the DB10 (the V8 Vantage in a drag queen outfit), what a farce.

A 5 minute chase on wierdly empty Rome streets with a bit of drifting and then it's totalled by taking a swim. In all honesty a DB11 and a more thought out chase would've been a much better choice to showcase an Aston in the film rather then that four-wheeled overkill in product placement.

    • So there will be a lot of robberies and breakdowns.

    • I think they should go a little old school with the Bond car this time and I think the car they should go with is an Aston Martin V8 Vantage X-Pack. Seems like it the ultimate Bond car which never was as it fits so well with the tough yet gentlemanly character. I also think that a Jensen Interceptor would be a great and fitting choice too.

    • Am guessing this will be too early to show off the new Defender...?

      • Filming will have already been completed by the time that car is starting to get manufactured unfortunately.

      • To take an educated guess Rob - and this is absolutely not confirmed at all. But I would say they’d want to feature the F-Type or F-Pace SVR, the I-Pace and probably the Velar SV Autobiography.
