The following replays on Streamable show graphic imagery and must be viewed with discretion.
Barely past turn 3, Grosjean made contact with Daniil Kvyat's AlphaTauri and careened off to the wall, the car exploding on impact and going through the barrier, leaving only the back half of the car strewn on the track. Grosjean managed to get out of the flaming wreckage as the medical car and marshalls responded to extract the Haas driver out and extinguish the flames.

Reactions on the greater F1 Twitter-sphere have been grim both in the moment and as Grosjean is being taken in for medical checks. From Chris Harris to Jimmy Broadbent, everyone watching is in shock at the scenes.
11:05pm MNL UPDATE: Clearer photos of the aftermath have surfaced from Sky F1 and Reddit, showing the safety cell being wedged into the Armco barrier and the damage from the crash. A user remarked that a similar crash into the barrier killed Francois Cevert in 1973.
11:10pm UPDATE: Motorsport Week reports that the race will be delayed "an additional 45 minutes later at minimum" to repair the barriers. The race is still red-flagged and teams await news on when they can resume racing, though judging from these reactions, the crash has certainly shaken the entire paddock to the core.
