Breitling and Bentley celebrate 19 years together
The longest-standing watch manufacturer + car brand partnership
Breitling and Bentley have been working together since 2002, and I know this because both brands (especially Breitling) are constantly reminding fans and owners that they have "the longest-standing" collaboration between a watch brand and an auto maker. All levity aside, it's an important point to make because it helps cement the perception of the brands. They even share the same initial and a similar logo.
It all began in the early 2000s when Bentley was working on the new Continental GT. They needed a nice clock for the dashboard and they turned to Breitling and the rest, as they say, is history. This fruitful partnership has spawned a plethora of interesting watch and in fact that's what makes it special, when you look at the various Breitling models that have been inspired by Bentley, or dedicated to the brand, none of them look tacky or silly. They look like proper watches. Stylish, elegant, with a subtle nod to the car brand.

Premier B01 Chronograph 42 Bentley British Racing Green
Breitling X Bentley GT Dark Sapphire Edition
Unveiled in April 2021, the Breitling X Bentley Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 (below) is the latest addition to the collection and it joins a long list of unique timepieces that have been created to celebrate this partnership.
The 42 mm 18k red gold case houses Breitling's (COSC-certified) Manufacture Caliber B21, a tourbillon movement with a 55-hour power reserve and adorned with a 22-karat gold oscillating weight.
Only 25 pieces have been made, allocated to Bentley and Breitling owners and already sold out. So the question is: has Jeremy bought one?
