Breitling and Bentley have done it again...
And this arguably their most spectacular piece yet
The huge overlap between watches and cars has produced a long list of collaborations but when it comes to continuity and longevity, Breitling and Bentley trump them all: they've been together for 19 years.
The Bentley+Breitling love story began in 2002, when Bentley Motors hired Breitling to manufacture the on-board clock for the Continental GT and the Swiss watch manufacturer and the British auto maker have made some pretty cool watches since. This is the latest - and possibly one of the biggest - creations yet: Breitling Premier B21 Chronograph Tourbillon 42 Bentley Limited Edition, limited to 25 pieces.
It features a 42 mm case in 18 k red gold features rectangular chronograph pushers and is paired with a gold-brown alligator strap. The transparent sapphire case back reveals the 'engine' of the watch, Breitling's own (COSC-certified) Manufacture Caliber B21, a tourbillon movement with a 55-hour power reserve and adorned with a 22-karat gold oscillating weight.
The British racing green dial needs no introduction, we all know what this colour signifies for English racing and sports car, and the watch is 100 mt water resistant, even though I'm 100% convinced the 25 lucky owners will wear it nowhere near water.
Pricing and details are yet to be announced but because it is limited to 25 pieces only, I'm assuming it will only be allocated to trusted Bentley and/or Breitling customers.
