Bubba Wallace turned up in a Twitch stream hosted by Silent Planet
He showed up whilst the band were walking through their album Where The End Began
Ever since lockdown started, a lot of people have been taking to livestreaming platforms to keep the content rolling and keep their fans entertained. One of those bands is the American metalcore band Silent Planet, specifically their frontman Garrett Russell. Garrett is a regular Twitch streamer who normally just streams himself playing games, but on 12th September 2020 he decided to invite Silent Planet's drummer Alex Camarena over to host a listening party for their band's album Where The End Began. Things were going as you'd expect for a chilled-out listening party like this until around 2 hours and 10 minutes in when none other than NASCAR driver and friend of the band Bubba Wallace showed up!
Wallace, who earlier that day had announced that he would be departing from Richard Petty Motorsports at the end of the 2020 season, popped into the chat: "This is dope. Thanks for giving us all the inside scoop! Especially as I’m working on my motorcycle. Got the shop speakers blasting!" When the chat saw that Wallace had entered, things obviously got a bit mental, with lots of other people in the chat trying to either get his attention or just being totally awestruck that he was hanging out in there! If you thought Wallace just appearing and hanging out with the band and the chat wasn't mad enough, he also gifted a load of subs to people at around 2 hours and 32 minutes in!
After Russell mentioned Wallace's appearance on ESPN SportsCenter earlier that day just after he popped up in the chat, Wallace replied with "Hahaha big things happening on my end!" Is this possibly a reference to the rumoured deal with Chip Ganassi Racing? I guess we won't know for sure until it's confirmed or not. Whatever the case, the NASCAR driver showing up in a random Twitch stream and then gifting subs to other people who were watching was a pretty awesome moment!
