Bugatti has done it

Let the games begin: Bugatti has hit a verified V-max of 304.77MPH in a modified Chiron.

On the 2nd of august 2019 bugatti test driver Andy Wallace hit a TÜV (germany's board of technical inspection) verified speed of 304.77MPH in a specially modified chiron at Ehra-Lessien As we can see from the above photos it definitely looks the business but what underneath?. For months before bugatti mounted their attempt Bugatti, Michelin and Dallara toiled away creating the ultimate chiron. The fruits of their labours are a chiron 25cm longer than the standard car with a laser controlled ride height system to make sure that it hit maximum speed. In the rear Bugatti has continued to develop the "shotgun" style exhaust previewed on the Centodieci special (still haven't gotten over that monstrosity). There's also a re-designed air brake to maximise aero and quench drag. The dependable bugatti engine (Affectionately nicknamed Thor) now puts out an astonishing 1,578bhp with the standard AWD system and gearbox are the same as the standard car.

Stephan Winkelmann bugatti's head honcho says: “Our goal was to be the first manufacturer ever to reach the magic 300mph mark. We have now achieved this – making ourselves, the entire team and myself, incredibly proud.” Bugatti will now withdraw from the race to build the fastest serial production car and will now focus on other areas as Winkelmann conforms: “We have shown several times that we build the fastest cars in the world. In future we will focus on other areas,” Obviously this will mean the much rumored Chiron SuperSport will be happening in the future. But what about the response of Koenigsegg and Henessy? We wait with baited breath..
