Bugatti has just announced the amount of success they’ve had this year. The French automaker delivered more cars than ever in the first quarter of any year. Four different models were delivered to customers across the globe: Chiron, Chiron Sport, Chiron Pur Sport and Divo.
Having released four different iterations of the Chiron alone, Bugatti has released many models in recent years - it is suspected this played a major role in the company’s success this year. Moreover, it is entirely possible that numerous deliveries were delayed due to the pandemic which may be the reason for the larger number of cars being delivered in 2021 as society eases itself back to normality.
Stephen Winkelmann, Bugatti’s CEO, commented on the huge accomplishment saying: "What I’m also pleased about is that despite the Covid-19 pandemic, we were able to further develop Bugatti's entire performance spectrum, from the Chiron Super Sport 300+5 to the extremely agile and handling-oriented Chiron Pur Sport, which we have already either delivered to some of our anticipating customers, or will be able to deliver very soon."
Although 2021 will see many of Bugatti’s cars being delivered, this certainly does not mean that 2022 will be empty with regards to new models being delivered. The first of the $9 million Centodiecis are expected to be delivered to customers next year. In addition to this, deliveries for the record-breaking Chiron Super Sport 300+ are also expected to commence in 2022.
