C8 Corvette Stingray Will be Revealed October 2nd

9w ago

Chevrolet announced via Twitter that the 2020 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible will debut October 2nd.

Chevrolet had hinted at the vehicle during the C8 reveal, although we don't know any specifics. Based on the model shown during the reveal, the front and interior will mostly be the same. The rear roofline appears to slope downward, and the seats are supported with nacelles for rollover protection. There is also a small glass panel behind the seats to deflect wind, although it looks as if it may be lowered. The biggest change, though, is the lack of any engine visibility. It will most likely use the same engine as in the Z51 package from the reveal. Weight will also increase, naturally.

Although it'll be revealed in the latter months of 2019, it's unlikely that this car will go on sale until 2020, simply considering that winter is not the best time to sell a convertible. What do you think about this car? Are you excited for its reveal?

  • Looks nice and also looks nothing like the original Stingray, so why not give it a new name instead of just trying to make money on some old badge name.
