Well this is pretty damn cool. The Cadillac DPi-V.R. is prepping to hit the IMSA Prototype-Class Championship. With a 6.2L Cadillac engine (based on GM's LT architecture), and certainly more dots-per-inch and virtual reality than the competition, this is a timely return to the racing for Cadillac.
The news comes as Cadillac is trying to increase their appeal to European-import buying customers and Audi is bowing out of racing. Look for the car (and driver Jeff Gordon) during the 2017 24 Hours of Daytona in January.
