Car crash caught live on TV as Ant McPartlin leaves court
A trio of cars was caught up in an accident outside the court in London today
This is the moment that a three-car collision was captured live on TV as ITV host Ant McPartlin exited court following his drink driving sentencing.
In full view of the waiting journalists, the three cars shunted into each other as a result of a blue Toyota Yaris failing to see the stationary traffic ahead of it.
BBC reporter Alison Freeman stops her live report upon hearing the impact saying “Excuse me, sorry, some cars have had a bit of a crash behind us there.”
A Citroen van, a Nissan Qashqai and a Toyota Yaris all came to a sudden stop with the last car unable to stop in time leaving it badly damaged.
It came as the ITV host pleaded guilty to drink driving, receiving a record fine of £86,000 and a 20-month ban from the roads for causing the three-car crash. When speaking to the court McPartlin, 42 stated that he was “very sorry” and that his treatment for “alcohol and emotional” problems had led to the accident.

Is he like Hammond but does the opposite effect everyone crashes when he is near
Pretty sure the van and Nissan came to a controlled stop not a "sudden stop"
