Car Trek 4 is live and it's as fantastic as you expect it to be

The day has come. The moment that the prophecies spoke about is finally here. Car Trek 4 is now live!

Tyler Hoover, Ed Bolian, and Freddy "Tavarish" Hernandez are back on YouTube to bless our eyes with some of the worst exotic cars you could possibly buy. This time around the premise is “The best Ferrari you can buy for the price of a Camry” and as you might expect, the gang’s cars all had some kind of questionable past.

Take one look at Freddy’s bright red 1978 Ferrari 308 GTB and you’ll see that there aren’t many stallions left in that vintage racer. Even if we were to put aside the many cosmetical “imperfections”, I’m pretty sure a Camry would outrun this thing based on how fast it’s not. “It looks fantastic!” It sure does Freddy, as long as you’re like five feet away and keep the door closed. I don’t think Mr. Enzo would have given this one his seal of approval.

Next up is Tyler’s 1994 Ferrari 456GT. If this car’s odometer counted the miles it traveled in a container, it would have an extra 12,585 miles on the clock. Other than taking a while to start, there isn’t anything to make fun of on this car so I’ll just stop there. How dare you buy a car that actually makes sense?!

Ed’s gray 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano took a swim on the deep end of a rainstorm, much like the blue Gallardo from the first season of Car Trek. Now I’m not good at math, I’m a journalism major after all, but car + water does not equal a happy wallet and a surprise appearance from the WEEEZARD confirmed that. I don’t want to give away exactly how much lighter Ed’s wallet would be if he decided to fix all of the 599’s issues but let’s just say it’s more than my entire car is worth.

After the three shed a few tears at their projected repair bills, they get roasted even more by Dennis Collins of Collins Bros Jeep who also tells them which car would be the cheapest to own in the long run. With hopes dashed and hearts broken, the three hooptie exotics take to the track where they will likely deteriorate further. I can’t wait to see it.

  • Loved it although as we have had all three types in my family at one point not sure how Dennis Collins could say the 456 was the cheapest to run!!
