CARDI VOLGA: THE SOVIET PORSCHE
I'm still wondering why all this ....
I was born 28 years ago and in 25 years of passion for the automotive I have seen cars of all types and shapes, but this, this ........ I don't know how to define it.
Cardi is a Russian company specializing in the manufacture of retro-style cars using mechanical components from German-made vehicles, and in 2007 its employees built "this".
Originally, and I know you will never believe it, it was a Porsche Cayenne Turbo to which the original bodywork was dismantled to make way for that of a GAZ-21 Volga, an iconic Soviet production car.
If so far everything seems surreal (and it is), you will be blown away by observing both the 19" Red Star-shaped alloy wheels and the celebratory livery of the dictator Iosif Vissarionovič Džugašvili (Stalin for friends).
This triumph of Soviet iconography is also found in the cockpit where the minimalist Volga accessories were mounted, including the steering wheel, the seats and the radio system.
I am still in shock to express myself on this vehicle, so I will leave the floor to you.
Thank you to Valentina Zanola for the cooperation
