I had a trip to the gorgeous little coastal town of Grimstad which is located southeast in Norway, as the local Classics Club arranged their annual spring meet, welcoming people from all over the country. The narrow, yet inviting cobbled streets leading through strings of traditional wooden buildings, were packed with classic cars - and the lovely scent of waffles filled the air.
Cars of several makes and decades, some of which have reached over 90 years old, could be found everywhere - even in the small alleys of the town centre. You never knew what you would find behind the next corner, and it was exciting. It was a fantastic sight, and even the busiest shoppers were too tempted to resist stopping and having a quick glance around.

The Grimstad vintage car club have a very active 2CV-milieu. Different models were on display, with musette-styled music playing, bringing the whole aesthetic together. This particular 2CV6 got a lot of attention. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
Another 2CV with its body decorated with painted flowers, bringing back the time of the flower-power. You just couldn't help but smile at the looks of it all. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
This little charmer was very busy looking out for a 1927 Chevrolet Capitol Touring AA, but was still very happy to pose for a few pictures. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
A stunning 1963 Jaguar E-Type was hiding down by the small harbour, but a few people still caught eye on it. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
Just as it was time to go, I discovered that a few bikes had shown up, including this 1960 Simson Awo 425, a 1971 BMW R75 and a 1963 BMW R50. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
Amongst all the bikes, I noticed this Vespa Rally 200. However, it was also something in the back that really caught my eye. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
The iconic Honda CB750 had also joined the party. Hiding behind a building made it hard to spot at first, but what a way to end a perfect day. (PHOTO: Helene Helle)
It was a good day.
