Charge has revealed all-electric production of classic Mustangs
Ford is currently working on a Mustang electric SUV. But let's say that you don't want that and instead you want something classic yet electric. Charge has come to the rescue with an all-electric 1960 Ford Mustang Fastbacks (this can also be for the convertible).
The London-based company will create 499 models and each will have a starting price of £200,000. That isn't a lot of money when you consider it will have 402 hp and go from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds.
Charge teamed up with Arrival to create a 64 kwh battery that will have a DC fast-charging with a 50 kw charge range.
They will be doing test drive events from March to September 2019 through 11 cities around the world. These cities include New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Munich, Paris, Milan, Abu Dhabi, Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.
You can expect the deliveries of this silent killer to start in September 2019 as well. The range is estimated to be 200 km (124 miles). The interior will have “state-of-the-art components and a personalized digital interface.”
On top of that it will have a leather-wrapped dashboard, retro-inspired steering wheel and bright pedals.
What do you think?
Do you think Charge has successfully turned this growling monster into a formidable silent killer? Or would you prefer a original one? Let me know what you think in the comments below. Thanks for reading.
