Cheaper Autopilot and Full Self-Driving Capability for Tesla Owners
Tesla Team revealed that all customers who bought a Tesla before the price decrease, will be able to buy the Autopilot or Full Self-Driving capability for half of their original cost after initial purchase.
Just the Autopilot, which adds automatic steering, accelerating and braking, usually costs $4,000 after delivery and the Full Self-Driving perk normally costs around $7,000 after delivery and it includes Navigate on Autopilot, Advanced Summon, Auto Lane Change, Auto-park and rumors are that later this year it will also recognize and respond to traffic lights, or at least that's what they promise from Tesla.
The pricing for customers who bought a Tesla before this week’s price decrease will be quite the treat as they will be able to upgrade to Autopilot for just $2,000 or to Full Self-Driving capability only for an additional $3,000.
Those who have already purchased the Full Self-Driving will be invited to the Early Access Program (EAP) where members are invited to discuss all new features and functionality before they are rolled out to other customers.
