Chevrolet To Preview Electrified Truck Concept Next Month
GM will also detail upcoming EVs and hybrids from its other brands at the Consumer Electronics Show on January 12.
1. General Motors is set to preview an electrified Chevy truck as well as numerous other concepts at the virtual Consumer Electronics Show on January 12, 2021, according to a report by Bloomberg Green.
2. The unveilings will take place after a presentation by GM CEO Mary Barra.
3. GM plans to add 30 EVs to its lineup by 2025, with the forthcoming electric pickup truck, GMC Hummer EV, Cadillac Lyriq, and Chevy Bolt EUV all being included.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra will present the company's plan for electrification at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), and should add to its 30 EVs by 2025 goal. Following this demonstration, however, will be something likely more special - the unveiling of new concepts from select GM brands. The concept in the spotlight is a new pickup truck, one that could be a fully electric vehicle, with a plug-in hybrid layout being slightly more plausible.
During an investor conference last month, a mysterious Chevrolet pickup truck, in addition to the GMC , appeared behind the speaker. The brewing trucks from General Motors will join the Cadillac Lyriq, Chevrolet Bolt EUV, Hummer EV truck and SUV, as well as 20-30 others by 2025. The electric pickup truck market is becoming more and more crowded month by month, with the Rivian R1T, Tesla Cybertruck, Ford F-150 Electric, and Ram's electrified 1500 plans already announced.
