Chevy finally releases the specs on the C8 Corvette…but there’s a problem
Chevrolet released the specs on the 2020 Corvette Stingray Wednesday.
According to a release the all-new 6.2L LT2 V8 engine will put the new midengined car to a top speed of 194 mph. And with the Z51 Performance Package, it can take you from 0–60 mph in just 2.9 seconds1 and boasts a time of 11.2 seconds @ 121 mph in the quarter mile.
But there’s a problem.
A Chevrolet spokesperson confirmed to Autoweek Thursday that production of the new Corvette has been delayed because of the six-week strike by General Motors' UAW employees. The work stoppage pushed production of the C8 until February 2020, with customer deliveries expected to begin shortly afterward.
