China Leaks 2023 MINI Hatch
Images of the next-generation Mini have been leaked, showcasing an updated design.
On the images, one can see that the front end has not changed much, while on the back there has been a radial redesign, with much more piercing headlights than that of previous MINIs, and a black strip across the boot.
Inside, the central control screen has become a circle, and one can also spot the absence of the central instrument readout above the steering wheel. I predict that those will show up on the control screen, much like in a Tesla.
The electric variant of the new MINI is being developed on a platform built by BMW and Chinese car maker Great Wall Motors, while the petrol variant will be made in Oxford and based on a BMW Group platform. Furthermore, there will be a MINI Convertible built in Oxford from 2025.
While I like how most of the new MINI looks, I LOATHE, and I mean this when I tell you that I LOATHE the new rear lights. This is like if Spielberg decided to add aliens into 'West Side Story': it just doesn't look right. Why ruin something that's been looking alright for 20 years?

Agree... Rear lights look wrong. Like they belong in a Suzuki or a Mazda or something...
The rear looks just like a cheap Chinese car. Just why?
