So Chris Harris, occasional racing driver, tire smoke addict and one James May's favourite automotive journalist.

Chris Harris is at current my favourite automotive journalist of them all and there's a few reasons for that. Firstly Chris puts up his main "Chris Harris on Cars" or the new "Chris Harris Drives" on YouTube so, that means, for me being 16 and spending most of my time when I should be doing homework on YouTube there are loads of videos of a very enthusiastic short bald man driving a stunning car very sideways while able to comment on the ergonomics of the bloody paddle shifters or sun visors for goodness sake.

Secondly. Chris Harris can DRIVE, not only does Chris race in the Blaincpain GT series he also has rallied an E30 M3 and done several Goodwood Revival races. Along with the 100s of videos of 700 horsepower Ferraris or a little MX-5 both at unspeakable sideways angles.

Thirdly. You can tell that Chris has never lost his enthusiasm for cars and you can tell by his expression and his mannerisms that this man absolutely loves his job, smiling and chirping like a school boy when he's at the wheel of the right machine and you watch it and just know you would be doing exactly the same in his position and it can give a sense of connection to his opinion. Also Chris has an incredible knowledge for cars and the intricate details of them and that shows through in his reviews.

Finally Chris makes some of the most insightful, entertaining informative and damn well fantastic car reviews of any automotive journalist in the world, and if I can emulate his career in even the slightest degree I will be unbelievably happy.

I hope and pray that Chris can keep Top Gear vaguely interesting when Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff enter the Frey but even a man of his immense charisma and talent may struggle with that.
