Chris Hoy Back on Track, episode six: Countdown to the race
Sir Chris takes stock ahead of the big race at Portimao
Sir Chris Hoy is of course famous to millions thanks to his incredible achievements in cycling and his *seven* Olympic medals.
But since hanging up his trouser clips in 2013, Sir Chris has swapped from peddle power to horsepower after joining the world of motorsport.
In 2017 he was preparing to take on the challenge of endurance racing in the form of the 24 Hours race at Portimao in Portugal.
And DriveTribe was there to watch all through the process
We’ve seen him throwing a GT3 RS around Millbrook, we’ve watched as he honed his race craft in the Caterham 310R Championship and we’ve followed him as he tried to get to grips with the track at Portimao.
And now, with the race looming, Sir Chris takes stock with fellow driver Roger Green before they face the final challenge itself:
In the next episode, it's lights out for Sir Chris and the team at Portimao. Will they make it to the finish? Can they dig out a good result? Find out soon...
