Christian Von Koenigsegg drives the new Jesko for the first time
What a machine!
Christian Von Koenigsegg is the founder of the eponymous car brand. Today he shows us his latest creation come to life, the diabolical Jesko! Through this video published on the Instagram account of the manufacturer, we have the opportunity to see for the first time the Jesko in motion, with the boss of the brand at the wheel!
The Jesko is the latest model of the Koenigsegg family. The new generation hypercar owes its designation to the name of Christian's father. The design is astonishing with an absolutely gigantic wing. For the rest, the car obviously takes all the fundamentals dear to the Swedish brand, adding a large dose of modernity.
Under the hood, the 5.0L V8 produces 1,281 hp and even 1,603 hp if the car runs on E85 bioethanol. All this power is sent to the rear wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission. As far as top speed is concerned, nothing has been announced yet and Koenigsegg apparently wants to surprise us. In any case, there is a very good chance that the car will reach 300 mph.
This is very likely, as each new Koenigsegg has managed to push the limits of the previous model. This was the case with the Regera, which beat the Agera RS by 1.8 s in the 0-250-0 mph exercise, which was completed in just 31.49 s. The Koenigsegg Jesko will be produced in 125 units, each selling for around £2.3 million/$3 million.
