The Traction Avant (french for front-wheel drive) pioneered mass production of three revolutionary features still in use today. First it had a unitary body with no seperate frame, second it had a four-wheel independent suspension and last but not least it had front-wheel drive.

The car was produced from 1934 to 1957 and about 750'000 cars were produced.

It was powered by a six cylinder in-line engine (2.9l) with a top speed of 130km/h.
