Clarkson gives lifetime ban to Hammond and May from appearing on Clarkson's Farm

Do not expect to see a tractor drag race between the trio

It's safe to say that the launch of Clarkson's Farm has been a success and has kept us eagerly waiting for the next season. The show is concrete evidence that Clarkson (as well as Hammond and May) can make a show about something other than cars and still keep us petrolheads engaged.

Clarkson's Farm has been given the green light for a second season, which is exciting news. “All the team are back – Cheerful Charlie, Lisa, Gerald, and the foetus in a tractor”, tweeted Clarkson. However, a commenter asked if a cameo from Hammond and May would be possible. Jeremy replied with “Not in a million years”.

Another asked if a tractor race could be held between the trio to which Clarkson responded “It’s not that kind of show". As much as we would love to see Hammond and May bring chaos to the Diddly Squat Farm, it simply wouldn't suit the insightful show. Instead, we can expect havoc in the next instalment of The Grand Tour that lands on the 30th of July.

  • It’s an interesting question but I think that the Farm Show brings out a different side of Jeremy and that it’s best to keep it that way rather than bringing in Hammond and May as well

  • Better idea, bring Kaleb on the Grand Tour

  • In fairness, Clarkson didn’t appear in James May’s Toy Stories or anything that Hammond has done outside of Top Gear or TGT. The farm is a very different project. I’m sure they’ll turn up unannounced at some point though!

  • Even if Hammond and May don't appear there are references to them, so it's like they're there anyway.

  • In Clarkson’s defense, they blew up his house
