Clarkson's car history

After working for numerous car shows for almost 30 years, Clarkson has driven thousands of cars and collected a sizeable collection of his favourite ones throughout his life. So here are the cars he has owned throughout his life

1. Bentley Continental Gt - everyone will recognise this AWD monster after watching the Madagascar christmas special. He's fitted it with large snorkels (to allow it to drive through deep water), offroad tyres and metal cages- making the car simply unstoppable.

2. Lamborghini Tractor- If you didn't know already, Lamborghini made tractors before cars, so when Jeremy got his new farm it was only natural for him to buy one.

3. Range Rover TDV8 Vogue SE- His luxury daily driver quite simply.

4. Alfa Romeo GTV6- Clarkson simply loves this Alfa and says it creates the best noise than any other car, even the Lexus Lfa which he also loves. So he brought it back home.

5. Ferrari 355- this was actually Jeremy's first large purchase after his debut as tv presenter.

6. Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder- "The car is not perfect" but still Jeremy has a thing for Lamborghinis.

7. Ford Gt -Jeremy loves the ford's design and beauty but criticised it for its "unreliability". He still owns the car afer having returned it to the ford factory and buying it again.

8. The Excellent from the Grand Tour- It's built from a Land Rover Discovery chassis and Mercedes SL body, and is still being driven by its maker.

9. Volvo Xc90- He bought it for the kids and the school run and considers it to have the best interior of any car ever produced.
