A remarkably authentic recreation of Jaguar's legendary Le Mans winning C Type, built to a very high standard in the mid 80's by a professional engineer who had access to an original example. His aim was to replicate the exact look and driving experience of the original, and he achieved this very successfully.

1953 Jaguar C Type
Built in 1999 by John Gregson 's company Classic English Racing Autos Ltd which became Proteus. This car has a full aluminium body & an interior very close to the originals. The body is of hand rolled 1.6 mm Aluminium sheet, 11 pieces forming the rear section & 17 for the front end. John Advised limited rolling of the sheets which gives a genuine period look of racing C types. The car is fitted with only one door as per the originals. The body is etch primed & then twin pack finished in British Racing Green.
