Codemasters promised new classic F1 cars would appear in F1 2018, in addition to the original roster from F1 2017. Now we can confirm the first two.

First up is the 2003 Williams FW25, which was driven by Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher. Between the two drivers, it scored eight podium finishes, four of which were victories.

Unfortunately Pablo montoya only managed third in the championship, but the V10-powered FW25 ended up scoring second place in the Constructors' Championship.

More impressive is the Mercedes-Benz-engined Brawn GP-001, a car that Jenson Button took to eight wins. Of its first seven races, it won six and, as a result, Button ended up winning the Drivers' Championship, while the team won the Constructors'.

Little bit of F1 trivia for you: Brawn is the only F1 team to have a 100 per cent championship success rate.

Accessing both cars (and the rest) can be done by purchasing the pricier F1 2018 'Headline Edition' or spending money at a later date. Inevitably the latter will cost you more, but then you can pick and choose what content you want.

One of the biggest questions surrounding F1 2018 is to do with how the in-car view will handle the Halo. Codemasters has since revealed there will be an option to remove the central pillar, making it less impeding.

F1 2018 is expected to arrive on the 23rd of August, 2018, on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The gaming championship, which started on F1 2017, will swap to the new game after the launch.
