Competition: Polestar wants you to design its future

What kind of vehicles should the brand produce in 2040?

The Swedish men and women at Polestar want you to design an electric vehicle (does not have to be a car) that showcases what the future of the brand may look like in 2040. Your mission is simply to "design a new Polestar that is the purest of designs" that could enter production either tomorrow or in two decades.

Who is eligible to enter?

The competition welcomes both professional and student designers over the age of 18. Each entry will be assessed by a Polestar jury panel and they will be searching for both innovative and technical designs. It is in your best interest to read the design brief and Polestar's design philosophy to ensure you impress the judges.

What is in it for me? Any prizes?

Shortlisted designers will receive one-on-one coaching with Polestar Design Community's founder, Juan Pablo Bernal. Finalist designers will have their creations displayed at the Polestar Design Exhibition and will receive digital modelling support. And the two winning designers? Their epic design will be produced as a 1/5 scale model and they will be invited to attend the Polestar Design Exhibition.

Will you be submitting a design?

The deadline for submissions is the 27th July... so you better get designing!

  • Well considering Polestar rarely make more than one of anything they aren't racing, you'll be party to quite the exclusive design event/publicity stunt.

  • Would it be wrong to just trace an image of Rydell's 850 estate BTCC car and send it in?

    • Love the idea but I’m not sure that we’d like to electrify a motorsport classic.

  • This is an awesome initiative in my opinion. Koenigsegg did a similar thing last year (but not as serious) and they got some really amazing sketches from their community

  • Looks like chinese found another way to loot designers creative aspect by arranging competitions where the result won't be known to anybody,

Then they would get a chance to loot someone's creative aspect and then move on,

Looks like chinese instead of making it something are finding various ways to ripp off everyone in various aspect,

Well Polestar earlier was good and now it's become a chinese propaganda and fussy material pushing company,

With one electric skateboard design they would find various ways to ripp off everyone and now they have joined hands with the expensive egg baldie,

After that they would find a way to legitimize looting as far as possible by make him appear in every advert just to make people believe that he is also associated with the polestar company,

This company has become a chinese propaganda pushing material which doesn't hold value and just bought this company to sell their chinese junk by slapping volvo badges on Geely vehicles and calling it a quality chinese product and legitimize their thievery and loot of other designs and various malpractices under volvo name and brand identity,

Well in total sense Volvo has become a chinese serving slave and got sold under chinese assholes who just want to legitimize their stolen design product with some rework and some element changes and selling on the other side of the globe and legitimising their whole network of thivery and loot from every aspect possible to call themselves as modern and practical but in real sense they're just an stealing baffoon who don't know shit other than looting and legitimizing their loot under various brand names like Volvo, MG, Benelli, etc
