Competition winner crashes his 2006 Mitsubishi Evo IX one day after getting it
Now that is bad luck...
Entering car competitions can be a very exciting time for many people as the idea of winning your dream car is very exciting, but often not very likely. However, if you are lucky enough, you will win a great car, but this story proves that not every time is successful...
Twenty-seven-year-old Adam Griffiths won a red 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX thanks to Dream Car Giveaways in the UK. The car had just 70,000 miles on the clock as well as a full service history. However, it looks as though Adam couldn't handle the car's power and now it is pretty ruined.
Less than 24 hours after collecting the car, Griffiths was involved in a serious crash that left the Evo in a right state, according to Wales Online. Dream Car Giveaways confirmed the car involved in the incident in a social media post.
Dream Car Giveaways said; "As most of you will be aware unfortunately the Evo was written off in an accident this morning. The main thing is Adam is fine, we don't know what happened and won't speculate. Please be respectful in your comments. It can happen to anyone. We wish Adam all the best from DCG."
By taking a look at the photos, it doesn't take a genius to work out that this was a pretty serious accident. The front bumper has been ripped clean off of the car, exposing the radiator. The bonnet is completely bent and the rear has had a beating from the wall behind it.
The damage looks rather severe, but fortunately Adam Griffiths was left with just minor injuires and his passenger was able to walk away uninjured.
Following this accident, the driver has received a lot of hate and death threats online which doesn't seem fair. It is just a car at the end of the day and thankfully nobody was seriously injured.
