      • Overlanding is learning curve, you tend to find its best to go with the flow, with a reasonable amount of basic planning, visa, borders, insurance etc.. Planning too much can be hindrance and add unnecessary stress of trying to keep to a plan..

      • That road trip looks amazing, so jealous. I've been dreaming about such a trip for a long time, but I can't find it in myself (yet) to sit and organize one. But that sounds like a perfect idea for a holiday, instead of staying at some boring beach in Spain and frying until getting sunburns. I guess that overthinking such a trip does not help much. You surely can't prepare yourself for every obstacle that you will find on the road, at least not when we talk about very first trip.

      • Its a mountain range in Peru called the Cordillera's, some of the mountains are nearly 7000m high. Its a fantastic area for both driving through the mountain range and hiking, it was a nice change from the dry desert landscape along the coast.
